It's Lisa Vedernikova Khanna, and it's true - my husband Harry and I are absolutely thrilled to start this new chapter in our lives. What does this mean for our campaign to flip VA-01, one of the closest districts in the nation?

Campaign-wise, I'm more committed than ever to unseating the same Congressman who's voted against 1️⃣ accessible health care, 2️⃣ affordable childcare, and 3️⃣ paid parental leave. 

I was raised by a single mom who was undocumented. She worked her hardest to "make it work", but parents shouldn't have to work extraordinarily hard to live an ordinary life. 

So, I'll keep showing up. I'll keep making the case that a country that meets families where they are will lift all of us to where we're going. That's the campaign. That's the work. That's the future I want to give my daughter.
