I'm Mike Pruitt. I'd be the only LGBTQ veteran in Congress. My husband (in the sharp glasses ⬆️) is a priest. Here's what's on our minds now with the 14-year anniversary of Don't Ask Don't Tell getting repealed:

When I started my journey to military service, Don't Ask Don't Tell was still the law of the land. Then it was repealed, and I could serve as myself.

The Navy gave me the skills to lead sailors as a Naval Surface Warfare officer aboard two warships during combat deployments to the Middle East.

After I got out, 1️⃣ I got married in the church my husband served as a minister, 2️⃣ became a civil rights lawyer, and 3️⃣ won an election to serve as a county lawmaker. 

Now Ryan, I'm fighting for progress in our campaign to win one of VA's most flippable Congressional seats. They're attacking people like me to distract from their bad bill to rob working families and give billionaires massive tax giveaways.
