Outraised, smeared, and exhausted - but not defeated.

It's James Talarico, and that's a pretty good summary of what this year has felt like for me.

John Cornyn just announced he outraised us thanks to the billionaire corporate mega-donors desperate to prop up his flailing campaign.

The RNC and NRSC doubled down on baseless attacks - calling me "deeply deranged and unwell" for demanding we hold ICE's secret police accountable.

But my team and I are going non-stop because there are only 21 days until the primary. We've put our 13,000 volunteers to work all across the state, and we're forced to make difficult budget decisions nearly every day now that our TV ads are on the air across Texas.

It'd be easy to give in to feelings of defeat when you're stretched this thin and the challenges feel so steep. But we have a moral imperative to win. 

Too many people are counting on us. So many of you have stepped up to play a role... it means a lot more than you know. And I wish I could tell you our work so far would be enough, but that's just not true. We have to keep going and give this fight everything we have.
